What is cloud computing?

There are mainly two major areas of expense incurred by a company that has an IT infrastructure. Software development and maintenance is the first one. Server hosting and network infrastructure is the other. IaaS

IaaS (Infrastructure As A Service) is a concept that enables hardware to be used as a service. IaaS providers rent resources such as Server space, network equipment, memory, CPU cycles and storage space.

 

PaaS

PaaS (Platform As A Service) is a concept that enables all resources required to build applications and services completely from the Internet, without having to download or install software. PaaS is also called as Cloudware. PaaS services include application design, development, testing, deployment and hosting. Other services include team collaboration, web service integration, database integration, security, scalability, storage, state management and versioning. The only downfall is lack of interoperability and portability among the various PaaS providers.

 

SaaS

SaaS (Software As A Service) is the model in which an application is hosted as a service to customers. Software will be hosted on a web server and it is served through a website.

Cloud programming solution is the most optimal solution for a distributed application.
